From Bondage to Freedom

Born Into Slavery, Denied a Future

A Life Spent
in Bondage

For decades, families in Pakistan’s brick kilns have known nothing but forced labor. Men grow old under the scorching sun, children inherit the burden of debt before they can read or write, and even the sick and disabled are pushed to work beyond their strength. There is no retirement, no rest, and no escape only endless labor to survive another day. What should be a life of dignity becomes a lifetime of suffering passed from one generation to the next. IMPACT Relief International is stepping into this darkness, rescuing families from bondage, providing essential care, education for children, and hope for a future free from generational slavery.

Modern Slavery Exists Today

Thousands of families in Pakistan’s brick kiln industry are trapped in a brutal system of bonded labor, forced to work from sunrise to sunset to repay small debts that grow endlessly through exploitation and unfair wages. Entire families men, women, children, the elderly, the disabled, and even those suffering from severe illness are compelled to labor under the scorching sun in unsafe and inhumane conditions. Children are born into this bondage and begin working at a very young age instead of attending school, while the sick and weak are denied rest or medical care. With no access to education, healthcare, fair wages, or legal protection, these families are stripped of their basic human dignity and remain imprisoned in a cycle of generational slavery with no visible path to freedom.

This is not just poverty it is bondage. Children grow up knowing only suffering, women endure abuse in silence, and families live and die without freedom. They are crying out for rescue.
Project Moses: Leading Families to Freedom

Four Steps to
Rescue, Restore, and Rebuild Lives

Step 1

Visit

We begin by visiting families trapped in the brick kiln industry, witnessing firsthand the hardships they endure. From grueling labor under the scorching sun to deprivation and abuse, we listen to their stories, assess urgent needs, and understand the emotional and physical struggles they face. This careful assessment allows Project Moses to identify the families most in need of immediate rescue.

Step 2

Rescue

Once a family is selected for intervention, our team delivers life-changing news: they are free. IMPACT Relief International pays off their debts directly to the brick kiln owners and managers and formally secures their freedom. For the first time, these families can leave behind the cycle of bondage, step into safety, and embrace a life of hope and dignity.

Step 3

Business Provision

To ensure their freedom is sustainable, we provide families with independent sources of income such as rickshaws, grocery shops, or vegetable stalls. These businesses allow them to support their households, live independently, and never return to forced labor. Project Moses empowers families to rebuild their lives with confidence and stability.

Step 4

Education for Children

Children who were once condemned to the harsh work of the kilns are now given the gift of learning. We enroll them in schools, provide educational support, and help transform their lives from bricks to books. Through education, these children gain the skills, hope, and opportunities they need to break the cycle of generational slavery.
